| In-House Applications | Legacy | XCEED (eXtended Compliance End-to-End Distributed) | Blockchain Platform | Blockchain | n/a | 2019 | 2019 | In 2019 Coskunoz began implementing XCEED eXtended Compliance End-to-End Distributed as a Blockchain Platform to participate in a multi-partner industrial compliance network, with initial deployment activity focused on partner factories around Bursa, Turkey. The implementation is part of an industrial-scale blockchain initiative led by vehicle manufacturers and tier suppliers to certify component conformity across design to production stages. XCEED eXtended Compliance End-to-End Distributed was configured to capture and certify compliance attributes for each vehicle feature, recording safety and regulatory data, geometric characteristics and material properties on a permissioned, open source blockchain protocol. Functional capabilities implemented include smart contract-based certification workflows, immutable transaction records for traceability, Big Data management for aggregated compliance datasets and embedded AI-assisted analytics for quality signal detection. The Coskunoz deployment integrated factory-level production and quality feeds with a shared supplier network, enabling parts manufacturers, tier suppliers and vehicle manufacturers to exchange conformity information in real time, and it was developed in collaboration with Renault Group, Faurecia, Knauf Industries, Simoldes and IBM. Operational coverage explicitly spans supplier quality management, shop floor traceability and supply chain data sharing between parts manufacturers and vehicle assembly sites, and the solution preserves data ownership and privacy while supporting pooled storage economics. Governance and process changes accompanying the rollout centralized compliance certification onto the XCEED Blockchain Platform, automated manual capture steps such as QR code scanning, and reoriented supplier quality workflows toward shared, auditable records. The project roadmap and disclosed outcomes include expanding XCEED to software repair and maintenance, homologation, battery recycling and CO2 footprint tracking, and published targets for the initiative include productivity gains and reduced non-compliance costs as part of the consortium’s stated benefits. |
