In 1999, Countrywide implemented IgniteTech PurchasingNet's PNet eProcurement solution to centralize requisitioning, approvals and purchase order processing across corporate offices and branch locations in the United States. The deployment targeted indirect spend and quickly routed most indirect purchases through the system, capturing approximately 98% of spend.
IgniteTech PurchasingNet was deployed as a Procurement application to standardize core purchasing workflows, with PNet configured for requisition capture, multi-step approval routing and PO creation and processing. The implementation emphasized automated approval chains and PO lifecycle governance to reduce manual touch points and enforce purchasing policy.
PNet was integrated with HR and accounts payable systems to align approver hierarchies and to streamline PO to invoice matching and payment flows. The rollout established centralized procurement controls across corporate and branch operations in the United States and produced reported outcomes including greater than $1,000,000 in savings and large reductions in processing time.
