The deployment replaced Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise and centralized billing, accounts payable, cash management, and corporate card administration under a single ERP Financial instance.
Configuration focused on billing and accounts payable procedures, bank and treasury functionality including international and domestic wires and multi-currency payments, and journalized cash entries into the general ledger. The implementation included management of an employee Visa corporate card program with more than 200 users, and monthly and quarterly reconciliations of the corporate card program and other assets GL accounts. Workstreams also covered cleanup of multiple data sources and the refinement of Oracle NetSuite ERP documentation and operational procedures.
Integrations and operational coverage extended to the company wide use of the corporate partner Voiceband and direct bank relationships to support wires and cash flow execution. Governance and control were strengthened through documented Treasury and AP procedures developed in consultation with Deloitte for SOX compliance, and the team supported an Ernst Young financial audit by organizing contract interpretation, sample documentation, and audit support. The Oracle NetSuite ERP implementation served as Coupa ERP Financial infrastructure for finance, treasury, billing, accounts payable, and audit support processes.

In 2016 Coupa implemented Oracle Netsuite OpenAir as a Professional Services Automation platform to centralize project delivery, billing, and time and expense workflows. The program ran from November 2016 to November 2020 and focused on building a repeatable PSO operating model that connected professional services execution to finance and sales quoting systems.
Implementation work centered on configuring core Professional Services Automation capabilities including project accounting, resource management, time and expense capture, invoicing and project reporting. Customization and automation work used SuiteScript and platform-native configuration, while Salesforce related automation employed apex triggers, Visualforce, workflows and Process Builder to align CPQ objects, pricing logic, product configurations, order and quote term generation, and contracting flows with OpenAir project records.
Integrations were explicitly architected and built to create an integrations ecosystem linking NetSuite, Salesforce, OpenAir, and Coupa. Design and integration tooling included Lucidchart for architecture, Jitterbit and Workato middleware for orchestration, and cURL and Postman for API diagnostics and testing, ensuring Oracle Netsuite OpenAir exchanged transactional and master data with financial and CRM systems.
Administration and operational governance covered creating and maintaining objects, fields and views, user creation and permissions, and hierarchy management. Batch imports and exports were used to merge environments under acquisition driven deadlines, and the rollout followed a structured project flow: identify problems, gather requirements, build test and demo, train gather feedback and document, then post deployment hypercare with monitoring reporting and issue tracking leading into continued maintenance and enhancements.
