In 2020, Crafter's Companion Limited implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as a centralized ERP Financial platform to unify fragmented finance and inventory reporting across its multi-channel retail operations. The deployment was positioned to provide a single operational ledger connecting inventory, finance, planning, logistics and operations to support the company’s UK and US headquarters, warehouse operations, and direct-to-consumer ecommerce channels.
The implementation used NetSuite SuiteSuccess for Wholesale Distributors and configured core modules for financial management, order-to-cash, inventory control, work orders and assemblies, and demand planning. Crafter's Companion worked closely with the NetSuite Professional Services team and completed the remote rollout in approximately 90 days, focusing on configuration that supports high SKU counts and multi-channel order flows.
Oracle NetSuite ERP was integrated with existing commerce and fulfillment endpoints, replacing a mix of Brightpearl, Sage and Intuit QuickBooks Online for financial and inventory coordination. Integrations included the company’s Magento ecommerce platform and three US carriers, UPS, FedEx and USPS, plus DG International in the UK, to enable continuous order fulfilment across retail, TV shopping channels and direct web sales. Operational coverage spans headquarters and warehouse sites in the UK and California, with more than 25,000 active SKUs and around 60 staff across multiple departments interacting with NetSuite.
Governance and process changes emphasized unified reporting, reduced duplicate data entry and demand-driven inventory workflows, with work orders and assemblies feeding demand planning insights into inventory forecasting. Reported outcomes in the rollout included faster month-end close, more readily available information for cross-departmental teams, and an explicit efficiency improvement of 30 percent as operations moved off disconnected systems. Crafter's Companion signaled plans to extend integrations for CRM and warehouse data in 2021 to further enhance the ERP Financial footprint.
