In 2017, Crowheart Energy implemented IFS Excalibur (formerly P2 Excalibur) as its Oil Gas and Chemicals ERP to standardize land administration and division order workflows. The implementation targeted support for Crowheart Energy’s operational footprint in the Green River Basin in southern Wyoming and corporate land and revenue functions associated with its Denver based operations.
The deployment of IFS Excalibur included core division order management and land administration capabilities, configured to maintain digital land records, title opinions, assignments, deeds and probate documentation. Configuration work emphasized revenue and joint interest billing decks for operated and non operated properties, ownership and deduction calculations consistent with JOAs and overrides, and automated support for suspense fund review and escheat processing.
Operationally the IFS Excalibur deployment was used by Land Administration and Revenue Accounting teams to coordinate payout processing, division of interest decks, and audit compliance workflows. The system implementation supported role based handling of chain of title tasks, interest transfers, curative work, and distributed reporting to revenue accounting and other internal stakeholders, while also aligning data flows necessary for communications with external agencies such as the BLM and ONRR.
Governance and process changes centered on establishing formal land administration procedures, centralizing responsibility under the Land Administration Supervisor and Senior Division Order Analyst, and instituting controls for data integrity and payout monitoring. IFS Excalibur was positioned to enforce ownership validation, support complex decimal and title quality control reporting, and formalize division order and land related processes across Crowheart Energy.
