Oracle Legacy Oracle NetSuite ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2010 2010
In 2010, Crown Awards implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP for ERP Financial to centralize finance and accounting workflows across its retail catalog and e-commerce operations. The NetSuite deployment was part of a broader IT program that also established formal management for e-commerce development, infrastructure, security, telecom, and end user support personnel. The Oracle NetSuite ERP configuration emphasized core ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and order to cash processes, configured to align with catalog order flows for both B2C and B2B channels. Implementation work included configuring transaction routing for e-commerce orders and mapping financial posting rules to support catalog invoicing and multi channel sales reconciliation. Operational integrations documented in the program included Project Management with JIRA, a Help desk ticketing system, and evaluation and implementation of an e-commerce online chat service, along with an upgraded on premise email system and a planned multi year move to cloud based email. The IT team also redesigned and upgraded development and production e-commerce environments, and upgraded telecom and Internet services while reducing monthly costs, enabling the internal infrastructure team to support web systems rather than relying on external consultants. Governance changes included building a 14 person IT team, designing business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and introducing ticketing and project workflows to standardize incident and change management. These operational restructurings supported the high growth catalog and e-commerce business and delivered internal capability to operate infrastructure and web systems more effectively and at lower cost.
