In 2011, Deli Trans implemented PTV Map&Guide as its Route Accounting application, establishing a system focused on transport coordination and dispatch for a Romania based carrier with approximately 15 employees. The deployment targeted daily order management, job scheduling, and driver paperwork workflows used by the transport coordinator team in Suceava County.
PTV Map&Guide was configured to support route planning and sequencing, job scheduling tied to equipment type and quantity, and generation of route manifests and paperwork templates for drivers. Functional capabilities emphasized route optimization, vehicle and equipment allocation, and schedule orchestration consistent with Route Accounting functional terminology.
Operationally the platform was used alongside Microsoft Autoroute and Webeye Logistic and Map&Guide Logistics tools as part of the operational ecosystem, supporting routes and transporter communications across BENELUX, Germany, France and occasional central European countries. Daily integrations with office productivity tools were implied through intensive use of Microsoft Office for documentation and shared inbox management by the coordination team.
Governance and process changes were driven by the transport coordinator who led onboarding and continuous training, acted as first line support, managed shared inbox and urgent transporter queries, organized backup plans for failed jobs and onsite repairs, and led monthly face to face performance reviews with local logistics companies. The implementation centered on operational controls around scheduled job completion, driver compliance with site health and safety, and documentation handling for insurance and transport records.
