Sui Legacy Sui Blockchain Platform Blockchain Platform Blockchain n/a 2023 2023
In 2023, Dentsu Group launched a project to create a creator economy using the Sui Blockchain Platform, classified under the Blockchain Platform category. The initiative was started by Dentsu Innovation Initiative together with affiliate 3RD GEAR, and executed as an official partner project with Mysten Labs to leverage Sui as the underlying blockchain for creator-focused services. The implementation narrative centers on developing and providing components that utilize decentralized identifiers DIDs on Sui Blockchain Platform. Dentsu Group has built capability modules for DID issuance and identity linkage, and conducted NFT demonstration experiments in drama content as a precursor to broader creator tools. The work leverages Sui characteristics described by the project, including an object centric execution model based on the Move programming language, parallel execution, sub second finality, and high throughput to enable rich on chain assets and fast transactions. Operational coverage targets the Japanese game industry and digital entertainment industry, with explicit support for the development and commercialization of Japanese intellectual properties on the Sui ecosystem. The program is positioned to enable collaboration between overseas Sui ecosystem games and Japanese IP holders, and includes support services for developer onboarding, development system provisioning, and collaborative processes to connect creators, developers, and IP owners. Governance of the effort is anchored in Dentsu Innovation Initiative as the R&D lead, with participation from cross Group web3 club members and 3RD GEAR as an affiliate operator, and strategic partnership alignment with Mysten Labs. The stated outcome is expanded participation by creators and developers in web3 using Japanese IPs, and continued promotion of systems that form personal credit using blockchain and enable autonomous distribution of information in the entertainment content domain.

Oracle Legacy Oracle CX Cloud Customer Experience CRM n/a 2022 2022
In 2022, Dentsu Group implemented Oracle CX Cloud as part of a Customer Experience initiative led by the CoE Addressable Media Hub, which services global agency clients with biddable channel strategies across programmatic, social, search, and retail. The deployment targeted a cookie-less operating model in response to declining cookie utility and stricter privacy regulation, shifting audience strategies away from first-party identifier dependence toward content-driven contextual targeting. The implementation centered on Oracle Contextual Intelligence, a module within the Advertising and Customer Experience suite, with Data Driven Context configured to derive segments from content consumption patterns and buyer behavior. Natural language processing capabilities were applied to classify content for contextual relevance and brand safety, and the configuration emphasized rapid time to launch and scalability to support concurrent campaigns for multiple clients. Operational coverage remained within the CoE Addressable Media Hub and its client engagements worldwide, with campaigns executed across digital marketing functions responsible for media planning, campaign execution, and creative alignment. The solution was used to generate contextual segments and deliver those segments into biddable channel workflows, supporting branding and awareness campaign formats while remaining aligned with privacy-compliance requirements. Governance and workflow adjustments included a formalized shift in targeting policy from identifier reliance to contextual signals, integration of content classification rules for brand safety, and standardized segment generation processes to enable multi-market campaign rollouts. Rollout strategy prioritized ease of use and repeatable configuration to scale across regions without bespoke engineering for each client engagement. Results reported by dentsu showed campaign segments from Contextual Intelligence exceeded benchmarks for click-through rate and video completion rate in every region where campaigns ran, explicitly noting a video completion rate around 80 percent in France versus a 70 percent benchmark, and over 85 percent in Germany. Going forward, the CoE plans to expand use of Oracle Contextual Intelligence within Oracle CX Cloud for additional regions and to extend use into mid- and lower-funnel strategies.
