In 2010, Dingman's Dairy implemented IntegraSys DSD as its Route Accounting application, establishing a technology baseline for direct store delivery and route-level accounting. The engagement included a formal data migration from an Access database to a SQL database to serve as the backend for IntegraSys DSD, creating a persistent transactional store for routes, invoices, and inventory movements.
Configuration work focused on DSD Manager functionality, including user account provisioning for network, system, VPN and email access, scheduled exports used to generate weekly sales, customer, accounts and customer service reports, and operational logging and daily backups to support auditability. The implementation covered device provisioning and configuration, install and configuration of laptops, desktops, servers, tablets, handhelds and phones, and ongoing first level support for printers and endpoint hardware.
Operational coverage extended across AP/AR, Sales, Customer Service and Warehouse functions, while IT ownership included design and maintenance of the company ecommerce website and primary responsibility for All Worx Phone Systems and networking incidents. Integrations and operational interfaces explicitly enacted during the program included the migration to a SQL backend and file exports used for downstream reporting, with VPN and email user management tied into routine access governance.
Governance and rollout responsibilities were centralized under a single project leader who led new application and hardware implementations, created technical documentation, trained new and existing employees on DSD Manager and other applications, and provided backup support to departmental workflows. Day to day operations emphasized administration of backups and logs, user creation and access control, and acting as the main contact and first level support for network, system and telephony issues.
