In 2012, Dixon Group Canada implemented Pronto XI ERP as an ERP Financial solution to unify its manufacturing and distribution operations. The deployment aimed to consolidate order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and manufacturing resource planning workflows to provide a single source of transactional and financial truth across four Canadian provinces.
Pronto XI ERP was configured to support a broad functional footprint including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger, costing, sales and purchasing, material requirements planning MRP, distribution requirements planning DRP and shop floor control, along with forms and mandatory reports. The implementation explicitly delivered real-time stock-in-hand visibility, stock available to promise capability, and order-date driven batch backorder releasing on a first-come, first-served basis to improve distribution orchestration.
The project was delivered with Pronto Solutions Alliance and PSA Inc as the implementation partner, using a staged rollout model with pre-rollout pilots, testing and staff training to preserve supply chain continuity. Operational coverage intentionally spanned distribution, manufacturing shop floor, and finance teams, aligning inventory, purchasing and costing processes to shared master data and transactional workflows.
Governance emphasized validation milestones before full transition to the new environment, and post-go-live reporting and month-end processes were centralized through the Pronto XI ERP platform. Dixon reported more visible, real-time financial management and faster report generation, distribution users experienced simplified order processing, and the company planned to expand the Pronto XI ERP footprint with customer relationship management and electronic data interchange modules.
