| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle E-Business Suite Discrete Manufacturing Execution | Manufacturing Execution System | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2016 | In 2016, Dongjin Semichem implemented Oracle E-Business Suite Discrete Manufacturing Execution to consolidate financial and manufacturing processes across its global operations. The deployment positioned Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 as a Manufacturing Execution System supporting discrete production workflows and financial compliance requirements. The implementation bundled Oracle E-Business Suite core modules including Oracle Financial Management, Oracle Discrete Manufacturing, Oracle Order Management, Oracle Project Costing, and Oracle Internet Expenses, with Oracle E-Business Suite Discrete Manufacturing Execution providing shop floor and production control capabilities. Configurations emphasized integrated transaction flows between manufacturing execution and financial ledgers, and supported standard discrete manufacturing workflows such as order release, production tracking, and cost collection. Operational integration connected four domestic offices and three manufacturing plants in Korea with overseas facilities in China, Indonesia, and Taiwan, consolidating financial transaction data to comply with International Financial Reporting Standards. The solution established a single global ERP instance so local and overseas manufacturing plants could compile and monitor financial, purchasing, manufacturing, and shipment data in real time rather than aggregating from separate systems. Governance and process changes removed manual purchase and sales order entry and eliminated supervisors manually checking and stamping electronic financial statements, which reduced the risk of lost statements during delivery from branches to headquarters. The program explicitly produced more than US$850,000 in operating cost savings, accelerated access to consolidated financial data for executive decision making, and created an integrated global platform to support Dongjin Semichem s planned expansion into alternative energy product lines. |
