In 2014, Dorma implemented Contenido as its Content Management platform for a global website relaunch. The Contenido deployment centralized multinode multisite and multilingual management across approximately 40 sites with support for up to 50 languages.
The implementation configured Contenido capabilities for centralized content authoring, multisite template management, localization workflows and search indexing. The architecture included a multinode application topology, SOLR based search indexing, and CDN plus caching layers to maintain global performance.
Product information was integrated via a REST import from eZ Publish to populate worldwide product content, enabling Contenido to serve as the front end for product pages. Operational scope focused on corporate digital presence and searchability, impacting product content management and marketing channels across Dorma's global sites.
The rollout and technical delivery were handled by 4fb Germany, which implemented the Contenido Content Management configuration and integrations. The project targeted improved worldwide content manageability and searchability, with CDN and caching explicit measures to ensure consistent performance across regions.
