Oracle Legacy Oracle Retail Merchandising Cloud Service Retail Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2024 2025
In 2024, Dr. Max Pharmacy Chain implemented Oracle Retail Merchandising Cloud Service as part of a broader Oracle omnichannel retail solutions initiative. The Retail Management deployment targets store operations across more than 3,000 locations in central Europe and focuses on inventory management, order fulfillment, and embedded AI assisted merchandising decision making. Oracle Retail Merchandising Cloud Service was configured as a cloud delivered merchandising and inventory control platform, using SaaS operational patterns to support catalog and assortment management, replenishment and purchase order workflows, and centralized merchandise planning. Embedded AI capabilities were applied to support demand planning and merchandising decisions, and automation was introduced to reduce manual steps in inventory allocation and fulfillment processes. The implementation is aligned with Oracle omnichannel retail solutions to bridge store point of sale data, ecommerce order streams, and distribution center fulfillment processes, improving cross channel inventory visibility and execution. Operational coverage includes store operations, merchandising teams and distribution centers, enabling centralized buying with localized replenishment execution. Governance centered on centralized merchandise planning and standardized order to fulfillment workflows to streamline processes and enforce consistent controls. With Oracle Retail Merchandising Cloud Service Dr. Max will benefit from automated and streamlined processes for inventory management and order fulfillment while cutting costs and boosting productivity.
