Thomson Reuters Elite Legacy Thomson Reuters Elite ProLaw Legal Practice Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, Drew Eckl & Farnham implemented Thomson Reuters Elite ProLaw as its core Legal Practice Management application. The implementation established ProLaw as the central system for matter accounting and practice administration across the 300-employee law firm based in the United States. The deployment configured core Thomson Reuters Elite ProLaw modules including matter management, time and expense capture, billing and accounts receivable, trust accounting, conflict checking, and business reporting. Configuration work emphasized firm chart of accounts mapping, timekeeper rate schedules, and role-based access controls aligned to legal workflows and billing governance. ProLaw was deployed on a Microsoft SQL Server backend hosted on the firm virtual infrastructure using VMware, and integrated with Active Directory for authentication and single sign-on. The implementation was connected to the firm document management tooling iManage and was configured to coexist with Aderant-related tooling in other operational processes. Operational scope covered practice groups, finance and billing teams, and firm management for centralized matter intake, time collection, billing, and revenue recognition workflows. Governance focused on standardized process controls and role-driven workflows to enforce billing consistency and trust accounting practices across the firm.
