In 2021, Dscvr implemented DFINITY ICP Blockchain. Dscvr is a decentralized social content platform built entirely on the Internet Computer, focused on community Portals, NFT gating and crypto tipping for social content and targeting US based developer and user communities. The deployment leverages Blockchain Platform capabilities to host social interactions and content state directly on chain.
DFINITY ICP Blockchain deployment uses canister smart contracts to host content primitives and stateful social graphs, with token transfer logic enabling crypto tipping and NFT based access control. Core functional modules include Internet Identity for user authentication, SNS governance for protocol level community governance, and canister based content and moderation modules which manage portal configuration and content access controls. The full application name DFINITY ICP Blockchain is used to describe the on chain architecture that consolidates identity, content hosting and token flows.
Integrations are concentrated on ICP native primitives, specifically Internet Identity for authentication and SNS governance for decentralized decision making, minimizing off chain dependencies. Operational coverage centers on community portals and user accounts across US based developer and user communities, and the platform has grown to tens of thousands of users since its 2021 launch. The implementation emphasizes native canister hosting for content and social state rather than external storage.
Governance and workflow changes are organized around SNS driven proposals and on chain voting, shifting moderation and portal configuration change processes into blockchain governed workflows. Internet Identity standardizes authentication and reduces account management friction, enabling community managers and contributors to participate in governance and access control through on chain mechanisms. Rollout and configuration are managed at the portal level through canister deployments and governance proposals.
The deployment of DFINITY ICP Blockchain as a Blockchain Platform embeds identity, content hosting, payment rails and governance into a unified on chain architecture. The platform enables NFT gated access and token based tipping without reliance on off chain session stores, and it has supported notable user adoption since the 2021 launch.
