In 2012, dtac implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to address ERP Financial requirements. The implementation targeted Oracle E-Business Suite R12/11i as the application baseline and included custom point of sale ERP components developed with Oracle development tools.
The deployment covered core ERP Financial functional areas such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting, while also incorporating point of sale transaction capture and order posting into the financial ledger. Development and configuration work used SQL and PL/SQL, Oracle Developer for reports and pre-printed forms, Oracle Discoverer, and XML Publisher for formatted output and reporting.
Integration work connected POS systems to Oracle E-Business Suite to enable transaction flow into finance modules, and operational ownership was held by the Corporate Application and ERP Development team. | Workday | Legacy | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, dtac implemented Workday HCM as its Core HR application. The implementation was led from dtac People Group HRIS leadership in Thailand and aligned with Telenor’s global HR system program, covering hire-to-retire workflows and core human resources operations across recruitment, employee records, performance and pay review exercises, and employee engagement survey processes.
Workday HCM deployment included configuration of security and local administrator roles, change request management, and a suite of HR reporting capabilities. The HRIS was instrumented with custom report writing and HR dashboard development to support management decision making, and the implementation scope explicitly included Payroll, Time attendance and Overtime modules integrated with the Workday system.
Integrations were established and monitored between Workday HCM and local payroll infrastructure, including the PowerVision payroll system, with formal oversight of HR-relevant interfaces and information security management. The project also coordinated with Telenor Global and the Workday project team to ensure data flow and consistency between local and global HR instances.
Governance and process changes were formalized through business process analysis, stakeholder mapping, and a documented change management program that included communication plans, pre- and post-launch readiness activities, user guides and system training. Operational ownership encompassed day-to-day HRIS operations, local administrator and security partner responsibilities, and a dedicated change request and incident resolution process.
Outcomes recorded during the initiative included a successful delivery of the Workday System within stated time, cost and quality standards, with dtac staff performing roles such as Business Process Lead and Project Manager for the Human Capital Management implementation. Ongoing HRIS responsibilities retained by dtac included report production, confidential employee record management and continued oversight of integrations and system security.
