In 2017, DVS Technology implemented Diamant/4 as its ERP Financial solution. The rollout targeted the companys national and international sites and was operated within an on-premises server estate administered by the internal IT organization.
Diamant/4 was configured to support core ERP Financial capabilities including financial accounting, general ledger processing, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing and statutory reporting, reflecting standard functional workflows for the ERP Financial category. The internal IT team had established ERP system administration experience with ISAH and DIAMANT, which informed configuration and operational procedures for Diamant/4.
The application operated alongside a heterogeneous infrastructure stack that included Hyper-V and VMware virtualization, Linux and Windows servers, multi-vendor storage hardware from HP, Cisco, QNAP and DELL, and network and firewall appliances from Cisco, Sophos and Unify. IT responsibilities explicitly included setup and maintenance of interfaces to CAD systems such as Treso for ERP connectivity, and operational support tools in the environment included Matrix42 for software distribution, Veeam for backups and a FollowMe print solution from Triumph-Adler.
Governance and operationalization emphasized international user support, 1st and 2nd level helpdesk coverage, employee training, and maintenance of internal system and operational documentation. The IT organization also focused on automation of internal processes and ongoing administration and expansion of the server, network and application footprint to sustain Diamant/4 as the ERP Financial backbone for finance and related business functions.
