Oracle Legacy Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Service Case Management Case Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, DX Grouup Ltd deployed Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Service Case Management on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The deployment positioned Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Service Case Management as the Case Management backbone within a broader JD Edwards EnterpriseOne suite to support customer service, contract billing, and service case workflows. Modules in scope included JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financials, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Procurement Management, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Management, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Service Contract Billing, JD Ewards EnterpriseOne Service Case Management, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne OneView Reporting. Configuration work focused on integrating financial, procurement and sales order workflows with inventory controls and service contract billing, while service case handling and OneView Reporting were configured to provide operational visibility and case lifecycle tracking consistent with Case Management functionality. DX selected Redfaire’s Cloud 9 service to host JD Edwards on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, opting for a fully managed hosted solution rather than an on premises deployment. The Cloud 9 implementation delivered on demand elastic infrastructure, end to end data encryption and a managed disaster recovery capability, with the JD Edwards instance operated to an agreed service level agreement. As part of the migration DX moved from SQL to Oracle Databases to align the application stack with OCI hosting, a change that led to substantial performance improvements. Governance centered on managed service operations under the Cloud 9 agreement, with SLAs covering availability, security and disaster recovery. Operational coverage spanned finance, procurement, sales order management, inventory and customer service functions, with OneView Reporting providing consolidated operational reporting. The implementation explicitly targeted reduced IT maintenance costs through managed delivery, improved security posture through OCI hosted controls, and enhanced performance after the database migration.
