In 2018 Econsave engaged Gigabit Hosting to provision hosting and managed infrastructure for its retail digital channels and web services in Malaysia. The work identifies Gigabit Hosting as the application and falls under Application Hosting and Computing Services, supplying external hosting capacity and vendor-managed operational support for Econsave's online presence.
Deployment used Gigabit Hosting's managed infrastructure and included inferred use of web hosting, managed security services and CDN capabilities consistent with the vendor's product descriptions. Architecture emphasized vendor-controlled virtual hosting and edge content delivery, with standard platform functions such as SSL certificate management, security monitoring and content caching provided as part of the Application Hosting and Computing Services model.
Operational scope covered Econsave's Malaysian retail digital channels and corporate web services, supporting marketing content, online storefront pages and customer-facing information systems. Governance followed a vendor-managed infrastructure model, with Gigabit Hosting handling platform patching, security operations and capacity scaling while Econsave retained responsibility for application content, commerce configuration and business process ownership.
