Sage Legacy Sage 50cloud Accounting (ex Peachtree) ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, ECR Software implemented Sage 50cloud Accounting (ex Peachtree) to serve as its core ERP Financial application for the Finance & Accounting function. The deployment targeted accounting operations for a 220 employee professional services firm, aiming to centralize routine financial workflows and support day to day accounting responsibilities. Sage 50cloud Accounting (ex Peachtree) was configured to support accounts payable processing, cash disbursements, 1099 and tax related workflows, employee expense report processing, posting of credit card charges, and month end close tasks. The implementation mapped recurring invoicing and commission payment handling into the accounting application, and incorporated inventory related expense variance reporting and records analysis capabilities aligned with ERP Financial functionality. Operational coverage focused on the Finance & Accounting department, with the Accounts Payable Specialist role operating as a primary user and the Accounting Manager as the control point for approvals and escalations. The system was used to coordinate invoice approvals with department heads, manage ticket based Accounts Receivable tasks as assigned, and provide backup support for sales tax activities, while maintaining on premises handling of payment cardholder data as described in internal job responsibilities. Governance and process controls were formalized around the organizations Cash Disbursement Policy and invoice approval rules requiring a signed packing list, signature on invoice, or email approval. The implementation supported an established weekly check run schedule with checks prepared for delivery by 1:00 pm on Tuesdays, organized vendor document filing, and a process improvement orientation to streamline workflow and allow the Accounting Manager to focus on higher level initiatives.
