MHR (formerly MidlandHR) Legacy MHR iTrent HR Core HR HCM n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 Edinburgh Napier University implemented MHR iTrent HR from vendor MHR formerly MidlandHR to manage Core HR activities across the institution. The initial implementation supported day to day HR transactional administration and the maintenance of the university HR/Payroll data to ensure employee records remained accurate. MHR iTrent HR was used for employee record maintenance, HR transactional workflows and payroll processing workflows, with configuration and ongoing updates handled by HR administrators. The application was also employed to capture learning administration data to support course bookings, induction tracking and enrolments for development programmes. Operational coverage centered on HR and the Learning and Development function, with the system supporting both routine transactional activity and senior leadership support. In July 2016 operational responsibilities expanded to include diary and mailbox management for the HR Director and strategic HR issue support, and in May 2017 a full time Learning and Development administrator took on L&D mailbox queries and training administration driven by the system. Governance relied on HR administrators to maintain data integrity and to administrate L&D workflows including induction processes and a new Leadership Development Programme. The deployment positions MHR iTrent HR as the university’s Core HR application, unifying transactional HR, payroll related data maintenance and learning administration across HR and L&D functions.
