In 2010, Edukame Spain implemented Drupal Ubercart as its eCommerce platform to support education-focused online sales and content in Barcelona Spain. The deployment consolidated product catalog and content management on Drupal, with the case study documenting the migration of content and commerce assets from an earlier Drupal 6 Ubercart shop into Drupal 7, and a later transition pathway toward Drupal Commerce.
The implementation retained roughly 200 products that originated in the Ubercart store and configured commerce catalog and checkout workflows common to Drupal Ubercart deployments. Work explicitly addressed search and checkout usability, and the project included performance tuning and site optimization to meet eCommerce response requirements.
Operational coverage centered on the public website and online store, aligning editorial content and product pages for the education business function. The project scope was site-level and regionally anchored in Barcelona Spain, with content and commerce teams involved in catalog verification and checkout testing.
Governance activities included structured content and product migration, catalog reconciliation, and staged rollout of checkout and search improvements. The Drupal.org case study records explicit outcomes of improved search, checkout and performance following the Drupal Ubercart implementation.
