In 2016, Ekonid implemented Infor SunSystems 6.1.1 to centralize its financial accounting and invoicing operations. The deployment focused on ERP Financial capabilities across the company’s finance and billing functions.
The implementation configured Ledger Accounting, Fixed Assets and Sales Invoice modules within Infor SunSystems 6.1.1, aligning the chart of accounts, posting schedules and asset lifecycle controls with professional services accounting workflows. Ledger Accounting workstreams covered general ledger structure and automated posting patterns to support period close routines. Fixed Assets addressed capitalization, depreciation schedules and disposals while Sales Invoice standardized invoice generation and invoice posting routines to the ledger.
Operational scope included the finance, accounting and client billing teams, consolidating transactional invoicing and fixed asset recordkeeping into a single ERP Financial system. Integrations were confined to internal transactional touchpoints and process handoffs that linked invoicing and ledger postings to downstream accounting workflows.
Rollout followed a staged approach with configuration governance, user acceptance testing and training for accounting staff, and defined workflows for month end close and invoice approval. Access controls and a small set of administrative configuration owners were established to govern master data, posting rules and financial configuration changes.
