KanbanBOX was configured to enable kanban replenishment workflows, supplier collaboration channels, visual card and board management, inventory level monitoring, and automated trigger points for replenishment consistent with pull based inventory control. The project emphasized configuration of inventory rules and stock signaling, and the KanbanBOX application was integrated into operational workflows to support production planning and shop floor material flows.
Integration work explicitly linked KanbanBOX with the company ERP system to surface kanban signals into MRP and planning routines, and to align inventory events with the company MES and production execution layer. Operational coverage included supply chain, procurement, production planning, and shop floor operations including the El.En. S.p.A. site in Calenzano, Tuscany, where the IT Manager led on site coordination and supplier management.
Governance and rollout included updates to application documentation aligned to ITIL standards, establishment of reporting and a data culture to govern replenishment decisions, and project management oversight by the IT Manager through December 2024.
