In 2022, Elecster implemented IFS Cloud ERP, an ERP Financial application, completing a project that began in spring 2022 and went live in November 2022. The deployment targeted production, supply chain management, finance, and human resources functions and adopted the IFS Aurena user interface to enable access across desktop, mobile, and handheld devices. Aveso Oy acted as the system supplier for the ERP upgrade and provided implementation and post-go-live support.
The IFS Cloud ERP implementation emphasized configuration-led design to remove customer-specific customizations and leverage IFS Cloud’s configuration capabilities, establishing an Evergreen version management model for faster future upgrades. Core functional modules configured include manufacturing and production planning capabilities, supply chain and warehouse management, core financials, and HR administration, with Aurena delivering role-based web UX. The configuration approach reduced bespoke code paths and centralized process logic within IFS Cloud.
Aveso implemented integrations between IFS Cloud ERP and Elecster’s product data management system, the e-commerce platform, and the warehouse automation system, creating interfaces for product and transactional data flows and automated warehouse controls. Operational coverage focused on production and warehouse processes, with mobile and handheld device usage enabled through the Aurena interface to support shop floor and inventory transactions. The architecture positioned IFS Cloud as the transactional system of record for finance, supply chain, and HR functions.
Project governance followed a planned, timeboxed rollout with Elecster’s project organization and CIO sponsorship, and Aveso delivering project management, integration development, training, and maintenance services. The upgrade was reported to support Elecster’s digitalization strategy by providing a scalable web interface and more agile operational use, with stakeholders noting improved efficiency in production and warehouse workflows. Aveso’s IFS expertise was highlighted as a factor in delivering the upgrade on schedule.

The IFS Cloud HCM deployment is embedded within Elecster’s IFS Cloud ERP footprint, which covers production, supply chain management, finance, and human resources, aligning the application with Core HR responsibilities for employee records and HR operational workflows.
The implementation emphasized configuration over customization, using IFS Cloud configuration capabilities to remove customer-specific customizations and enable an Evergreen version management model. Elecster adopted the IFS Aurena user interface as part of the deployment, providing a scalable web interface that enables use of IFS Cloud HCM on handheld and mobile devices and supporting standard Core HR functions such as centralized personnel data, role-based access, and HR process automation.
