| Workday | Legacy | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2014 | 2015 |
In 2014, Elementis Global implemented Workday HCM to centralize Core HR and standardize core people processes. Elementis Global, a 1,244 employee oil, gas and chemicals company, deployed the application to support global HR operations and Americas coverage that included roughly 600 employees across 14 sites and multiple site acquisitions described in internal HR programs.
The Workday HCM deployment included Core HCM and adjacent modules explicitly configured and delivered, namely Benefits, Absence, Time-off, Recruiting, and Talent and Performance. The program also delivered Workday Advanced Compensation configuration and a Benefits Self Service experience, and produced 10 plus dashboards composed of more than 60 interactive reports and graphs to surface HR metrics and people insights for leaders.
Integrations were executed with multiple benefits providers and a set of eight Workday integrations that enabled consolidation of benefits administration and a shift to in-house benefit services. The implementation supported post acquisition integrations and operational HR workflows across corporate and manufacturing sites, and was used to automate merit and bonus processes as part of a consolidated global bonus plan redesign.
Governance was formalized through an HRIS team and a multi year Workday roadmap focused on simplifying, standardizing and automating processes, while enhancing end user support, training and communications. The program included compensation framework design, job grading alignment using external grading factors, and a request management process for enhancements and ad hoc changes, and explicitly contributed to a reported 20 percent increase in operational efficiency from bringing benefit services in-house and the implemented Workday integrations.
