Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2020 2020
In 2020, Emirates Group implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its core ERP Financial platform to consolidate finance, procurement and logistics application capabilities across Emirates and Dnata. The engagement was driven by Emirates Group Finance, Procurement & Logistics and positioned Oracle E-Business Suite as the system of record for Procure to Pay, payments and financial reporting. Configuration work emphasized Procure to Pay modernization through Oracle Purchasing, Oracle iSupplier and Oracle iProcurement, and the introduction of Scan to Pay invoice processing. The product roadmap included supplier master unification across P2P applications, remediation of technical debt by replacing bolt-on functionality with Oracle EBS R12 features such as Electronic Funds Transfer, Global Consolidation, Payment Processing, Bank Reconciliation and Netting, and an Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 upgrade. Integrations and operational coverage focused on embedding reporting and sourcing solutions into the ERP Financial footprint, including an Orbit Analytics implementation for financial reporting and a Sourcing and Contracts implementation using Jaggaer ONE for procurement and logistics workflows. The program also incorporated excise tax controls for inflight service procurements, ERP virtualization, a database upgrade and application performance improvements, and the introduction of data science KPIs for sales and purchasing. Governance and rollout were managed through a centralized product roadmap and a development and release orchestration process led by the Product Manager for Enterprise Applications. Prioritization emphasized feature releases that reduced reliance on bolt-on customizations and aligned finance, procurement and payments process ownership across Emirates Group Finance and Procurement & Logistics.
