In 2018, Enbridge Gas Distribution implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as an ERP Financial program to modernize core finance and procurement workflows within its energy and gas operations in Toronto, ON. The engagement was led as a digital transformation initiative with responsibilities for project timeline, solution architecture, cloud implementation and infrastructure orchestration recorded in project planning activities.
Oracle Cloud ERP was configured to address standard ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, fixed assets and financial reporting, with multi-entity consolidation and period close workflow considerations. Configuration work emphasized cloud-native architecture patterns, role based access controls and integration readiness for enterprise asset and field service data.
Integration architecture used Oracle Integration Cloud as the orchestration layer, connecting Oracle Cloud ERP to Salesforce Field Service for field work ordering, Maximo EAM for asset and maintenance data, and existing SAP touchpoints that remained in scope for cross-system finance and operational transactions. Identity and access was aligned with Azure AD and the deployment incorporated AWS resources as part of the cloud infrastructure footprint.
Program governance followed Agile delivery, with the project lead serving as Scrum Master to run daily stand ups, sprint planning and retrospectives, and working with a Business Product Owner to define MVP scope and subsequent releases. Roadmap building, business process improvement, resource management and stakeholder reporting were explicit elements of the project plan and solution architect responsibilities.

Enbridge Gas Distribution implemented Workday HCM in 2018 as its Core HR platform, with a December 2018 go live that centralized core HR and compensation activities. The implementation established Workday HCM as the enterprise HR system supporting compensation configuration and onboarding workflows across the organization.
Workday HCM was configured to support compensation functional workflows, total rewards alignment and business process enhancements, with a Compensation Functional Lead facilitating configuration and policy harmonization. The team executed targeted enhancements across Workday HCM to prepare for an enterprise compensation review at go live.
The program included an explicit Workday to SAP HR integration and coordinated work across IT Workday teams, IT Integration Teams and IT Security Teams. Operational coverage spanned HR Solutions and client groups enterprise wide, and the initiative supported onboarding of 5000+ employees and 41 unions into Workday HCM while partnering with Workday Success Manager and product leads for feature adoption.
Governance was formalized through a shared Workday enhancement and operational program plan, an enhancement implementation intake and support process, and standards for quality control, documentation and system configuration. A 15 person HR Solutions team was built to institute cross functional knowledge sharing, manage roughly 40 concurrent initiatives, and set performance and career matrices for Workday analyst roles.
Ongoing operations emphasize continuous review of Workday enhancements to maintain system health and early adoption of new features to optimize licensing and influence the Workday ecosystem. The deployment centralized Core HR and compensation workflows and established structured governance to support future Workday HCM growth.
