Intuit Quickbooks Enterprise was used alongside Azalea PM, with workstreams coordinated with an Azalea PM developer to improve surgery scheduling handoffs and billing coordination. Operational coverage included the front office, billing department, scheduling department, and the newly implemented surgery center, with QuickBooks acting as the system of record for company invoices and collections activity. Between October 2016 and December 2017 staff produced forms, displays, and pricing analyses using QuickBooks together with Excel and Word, including a breakeven analysis that informed a self pay pricing scale for the surgery center. The team completed an annual PQRS analysis for four physicians, thereby preventing a 2% Medicare reimbursement penalty, and organized collections calls that recovered nearly $3,000 in unpaid balances, demonstrating QuickBooks support for financial governance and billing controls.
