In 2012, Esquel Group implemented the Reval Cloud Platform for Treasury Management as part of a broader shift to cloud-based finance tooling at the Hong Kong head office. The implementation was positioned within a large enterprise context of roughly 35,000 employees and aligned with concurrent cloud initiatives across ERP and collaboration systems.
The Reval Cloud Platform deployment was configured to provide core treasury capabilities common to the Treasury Management category, including centralized cash and liquidity visibility, cash forecasting, bank connectivity orchestration, multi-currency and intercompany netting support, and hedge accounting and risk measurement workflows. Configuration emphasized policy-driven treasury controls and automated posting interfaces to streamline treasury-to-ledger processes.
Reval was implemented alongside other SaaS platforms in Esquel Group’s cloud portfolio and was connected into the company’s integration backbone. The environment included a cloud-based Microsoft AX ERP on Azure and a TIBCO Enterprise Service BUS acting as the real-time data interface and backbone, enabling Reval Cloud Platform to exchange bank statements, cash positions, and payment instructions with enterprise systems.
Operationally the Reval implementation was scoped to support corporate treasury and finance functions, with governance layered into treasury workflows and controls to align with existing finance automation programs. The treasury rollout complemented finance automation efforts that included RPA and chatbot projects for Finance, and was managed as part of Esquel Group’s centralized cloud applications program.
