The GUI was built with standard .NET components and hosted on IIS, delivering a browser-accessible web environment that removed the need for local client installations while placing a high emphasis on security and web hosting controls. AppGear Employee Self Service centralizes transaction and lookup screens to support client-facing and investigative workflows within a single web application. The host interface was implemented using the ISO8583 protocol and runs as a service on Windows Server, using multiple communication channels to securely and reliably process in excess of 500 financial transactions per second, with the design intentionally reusable for future banking integrations. This integration provides near-real-time inbound and outbound message flows between the AppGear Employee Self Service application and banking host systems, supporting transaction lookup, authorization details and fraud signal exchange. Data storage was organized into multiple summary tables and targeted indexes to direct queries to optimized datasets rather than main transaction tables, resulting in lower server load and higher response times for investigative and lookup queries. Operational scope focuses on client-facing transaction monitoring, automated fraud reporting and investigative reporting for financial partners, with governance centered on secure web access, host-level messaging services and database query optimization to support regulatory reporting requirements. |
