In 2025 Famous Brands implemented MoEngage Enagage to centralize customer data and automate loyalty and engagement across its portfolio, positioning the deployment squarely within Customer Engagement. The rollout targets three consumer-facing brands Mugg & Bean, Wimpy and Milky Lane with an initial pilot at Mugg & Bean to connect digital interactions with in-restaurant behaviour and to drive earn and spend activity through the loyalty programme.
MoEngage Enagage was configured to automate voucher lifecycle and campaign orchestration, generating unique voucher codes, segmenting audiences, and delivering messages via push notifications, in-app messages, SMS and email. Implemented functional capabilities include customer segmentation, campaign automation, voucher management, lifecycle orchestration and targeted reactivation and reward campaigns to manage the end to end customer journey.
The implementation integrated data from multiple sources and connected point of sale transaction data back into the platform to create a complete customer view, enabling attribution of digital engagement to in-store redemptions. Operational coverage is focused on marketing and loyalty functions across the Famous Brands portfolio, with Mugg & Bean serving as the initial operational site while capabilities are extended to Wimpy and Milky Lane.
Governance and process changes replaced manual campaign execution with an automated orchestration model, centralising customer lifecycle workflows under MoEngage Enagage and reducing operational friction. Reported outcomes include time savings, improved voucher redemption rates, strengthened customer lifecycle management and a shift to data driven omnichannel marketing, supported by MoEngage’s local commitment in South Africa.
