In 2019, F+F Mechanical began implementing Viewpoint Spectrum Construction Accounting Software as part of a broader adoption of ViewpointOne, selecting the Construction ERP to better integrate office, team and field operations. The engagement followed a long-term use of Viewpoint Estimating and positioned Spectrum as the company’s central construction accounting and project controls platform.
Viewpoint’s collaborative browser and offline capable mobile project management solution was implemented quickly after contract signature to deliver rapid time-to-value, and Viewpoint Spectrum Construction Accounting Software is being configured to connect to that project management layer for integrated information and workflow. The Spectrum implementation focuses on core construction ERP capabilities including accounting, project accounting and job costing functionality, along with project controls and contract management workflows consistent with Construction ERP expectations.
Operational scope centers on unifying the office accounting teams, project management staff and field crews, with the mobile project management solution enabling offline field data capture and browser access for supervisors and PMs. Spectrum will replace Sage 300 CRE as the firm’s accounting backbone and is being integrated with the existing Viewpoint project management environment to synchronize project financials, change orders and job-level reporting.
Rollout was staged to achieve quick wins by frontloading the browser and mobile project management deployment, followed by phased Spectrum cutover and connector configuration to the project management solution. Governance is structured around cross functional coordination between accounting, project management and field operations to align workflows and data handoffs, while the initial mobile-first deployment provided early operational value prior to full Spectrum accounting go live.

In 2020, F+F Mechanical implemented Microsoft Azure Cloud Services to host its public website and associated web assets. Microsoft Azure Cloud Services functions as the companys Application Hosting and Computing Services, providing web application hosting, virtualized compute, object storage for static content, and content delivery support for client-facing pages.
