In 2010, Fire Dex implemented TCM Financial Management, an ERP Financial application. The deployment embedded financial controls and transactional financial processing into the companys TCM manufacturing environment, centralizing financial recordkeeping for sales, customer service, and manufacturing.
TCM Financial Management was configured to support core ERP Financial capabilities typical of the category, including invoicing, accounts receivable processing, and general ledger transaction capture. Configuration emphasized order-to-cash workflow automation, with automated invoice generation from order entries and automated payment posting to reduce manual reconciliation.
The implementation included an explicit integration between the FireWriter2 online-ordering application and TCM Financial Management to streamline order flow. Integration scope covered sales order capture, customer service order verification, and manufacturing work order initiation, and it was managed alongside ongoing website administration for firedex.com and related customer portals. Reported results from the integration included a 13% increase in orders entered per month, a 50% reduction in time spent reviewing and correcting orders with $20,000 in annual labor savings, elimination of Returned Goods due to Customer Service Error with $10,000 in annual savings, and near elimination of manufacturing garment recuts with $9,000 in annual labor and material savings.
Project governance was led by an internal Marketing Technology Specialist who selected and managed the cross-functional integration team, combining marketing, customer service, sales, and manufacturing stakeholders.
