In 2016, First Balfour implemented Ramco ERP in the ERP Financial category to unify its project-centric construction and growing equipment rental operations. The Ramco ERP Suite deployment was executed over nine months and bundled Enterprise Asset Management and Equipment Rental capabilities with finance and accounting functionality to address end-to-end operational needs.
The implementation configured Ramco ERP modules for equipment rental management, inventory control, supply chain execution, asset management, finance and accounting, and statutory reporting. A mobile-friendly transportation management module was included to extend operational workflows to field crews and fleet operators, enabling transaction capture and context-aware tasking from mobile devices.
Ramco ERP was deployed as a unified platform integrated with Ramco Finance and HCM capabilities, and it was connected to First Balfour’s third-party GPS system to provide live tracking of rental vehicles. The solution architecture emphasized a single application footprint combining Enterprise Asset Management, equipment rental lifecycle management, financial ledgers and mobile transport telemetry to reduce integration fragmentation across operations.
Operational coverage targeted company-wide processes with specific impact on the Plant and Equipment Division, finance, supply chain, and transportation functions. The deployment aimed to automate equipment rental workflows and improve visibility across manpower and equipment assets, and First Balfour reported streamlined company-wide operational efficiencies and better asset management following go-live.

In 2015, First Balfour implemented HDI Workwise, deploying HDI Workwise Core HR to centralize and automate core human resources functions across the company. HDI System Technologies delivered a comprehensive and scalable configuration that handles payroll, 201 management, recruitment, timekeeping, performance appraisal and training and development for an unbounded number of users.
The implementation was customized to accommodate First Balfour’s intricate deployment model where an employee may be assigned to one project while working on another, and the system replicated the company’s method of computing taxes for employees engaged in multiple assignments to prevent large year end tax exposure. HDI Workwise’s 201 management functionality was cited as operating effectively by HR leadership, and HR staff reported immediate access to required records and reports.
Operationally, the HDI Workwise deployment reduced administrative roadblocks within the HRD and shifted HR staff effort toward strategic tasks and analytics. HR users described the reporting capability as significantly simpler, with one HR officer noting that data that previously took two days to compile can now be furnished instantly, enabling faster workforce administration and decision support.
