In 2025, Folplast implemented PSIpenta as its Manufacturing Execution System through a PSIpenta/MES Scheduling deployment. Folplast Sp. z o.o., based in Kościan Poland and a leading foil packaging manufacturer, commissioned PSI Polska to comprehensively optimize production processes and improve order fulfillment punctuality after its previous production planning solution was no longer supported.
The implementation focuses on PSIpenta scheduling and production planning modules, delivering real time information, modern analysis and reporting functions, and capacity aware resource planning to shorten setup times and improve information flow. The project follows a quick start model using preconfigured processes to enable rapid initial use, with subsequent configuration and adaptation to Folplast specific operational requirements.
Integration with the existing ERP system is an explicit part of the rollout to provide end to end operational transparency and better cost control, aligning order entry, production scheduling and shop floor execution. Operational coverage targets production planning, shop floor scheduling and order fulfillment processes, affecting operations, planning and customer service functions.
Deployment choices reflect PSI product architecture which supports scalable operation on premise or in the cloud, allowing Folplast to adapt infrastructure as needs evolve. Folplast expects PSIpenta/MES Scheduling to increase operational efficiency through process automation, shorten processing times and reduce potential errors, while providing real time reporting and analytics to elevate customer service.
