In 2020 Fort Garry Industries selected Avaap to implement Infor CloudSuite Distribution Enterprise, initiating a cloud-first deployment of the Distribution ERP Infor CloudSuite Distribution Enterprise built on the Infor M3 platform. The engagement was positioned to standardize processes across the company and support the organization’s 500 plus employees in aftermarket parts, heavy truck parts and service operations in Western Canada.
The implementation emphasized industry-specific functionality within the Distribution ERP category, focusing on inventory management, order-to-cash workflows, parts and service management, and core financial management modules. Configuration prioritized out-of-the-box capabilities to reduce customization, while the program also included data and analytics enablement and platform readiness for Internet of Things and machine learning use cases to support future scalability.
Architecturally the solution is delivered as a cloud-hosted Infor M3 based environment, with implementation workstreams for systems integration, master data consolidation, and process orchestration across procurement, service, warehouse, and sales operations. The program intended to align customer and supplier data flows and operational reporting, without naming additional third party systems, to streamline parts replenishment and field service coordination.
Governance and rollout were organized around Avaap’s industry-focused implementation methodology, business process reviews, and a shift in IT operating model so internal staff move from system maintenance to value creation. Fort Garry Industries expected to go live following the implementation, with stated goals of improved collaboration, more efficient execution of processes, and faster access to decision support information.
