In 2009, Fusion-io implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to consolidate core finance functions. The Oracle NetSuite ERP deployment served as the company's ERP Financial platform, centralizing general ledger processing and statutory financial reporting across the corporate finance organization.
Configuration emphasized standard ERP Financial capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and revenue recognition, fixed asset management, and consolidated financial reporting. Implementation activities focused on chart of accounts rationalization, period close workflow configuration, automated journal management, and role based access control aligned to accounting and audit requirements.
The deployment covered finance, accounting, treasury and revenue operations teams within Fusion-io's United States operations. The SaaS oriented architecture of Oracle NetSuite ERP enabled centralized financial master data and web based access for distributed finance users, supporting a single source of truth for transactional finance and reporting.
Governance established centralized ownership of financial master data, standardized month end close procedures and audit trail enablement to support compliance and reporting cadence. A staged rollout approach and formal change control were used to align business unit processes to the ERP Financial configuration while maintaining operational continuity.
