Operational scope covered the statewide PINES consortium, enabling Georgia Public Library Service to run consortial operations across Georgia and align lending rules, discovery, and fulfillment workflows for participating libraries and branches. Integrations were focused on shared catalog access and resource sharing mechanisms inside the consortium rather than named external enterprise system integrations. Governance adopted a centralized consortial model to manage circulation policies, catalog maintenance, and resource sharing workflows across member libraries, with a multi year development and rollout from 2004 to production in 2006. The Evergreen ILS deployment delivered an estimated annual software savings of about $10 million for member libraries.
