In 2016, Geerco implemented the TimeTec FingerTec TA Series as a Time Clock (Hardware) solution across its Saudi Arabia operations. The deployment centered on FingerTec TA200 Plus biometric terminals paired with Kadex access control devices, and the project was introduced and provisioned by distributor ITQAN Al Khaleej to address on-site workforce time and access needs.
The implementation combined physical hardware endpoints with the TimeTec TA attendance platform, forming a capture-to-record architecture where TA200 Plus biometric captures and Kadex access events are consolidated into TimeTec TA for attendance reconciliation and reporting. Functional capabilities implemented included fingerprint biometric enrollment, real-time attendance capture, device-to-platform synchronization, event logging for access control, and configuration of attendance rules to feed HR time-attendance workflows.
Operational coverage focused on Geerco production sites and on-site staff in Saudi Arabia, impacting HR and payroll functions as well as site security operations. Governance and rollout practices included centralized attendance data collection, enforced biometric authentication to reduce buddy-punching, and device configuration and synchronization managed during rollout by ITQAN Al Khaleej. The project notes explicitly cite reductions in buddy-punching and improvements in payroll accuracy as outcomes of the deployment.
