In 2021 Gelato d’Italia implemented SiFides to extend its financial and operational system coverage, selecting the SiFides food&beverage edition as its core ERP Financial platform to address rapid growth and a fast expanding product portfolio. The decision responded to a need to safeguard corporate information and experience assets, standardize operational processes across departments, and gain greater control over production variables from procurement through warehouse and cost control.
SiFides was configured to cover sector-specific functional modules including production planning, procurement and supplier management with cost and performance analysis, warehouse management, quality and traceability, and commercial policy management for agreements, promotions, advanced discounts and commissions. The implementation incorporated profitability analysis capability by contract, customer and product, and was accompanied by PLM and Business Intelligence projects that extended data governance and analytic coverage beyond core transactional processes.
Operational deployment extended across commercial, production, quality assurance, procurement, warehouse and finance functions, with configuration scenarios aligned to Gelato d’Italia business requirements to preserve operational continuity during rollout. The project timetable emphasized implementation times compatible with ongoing operations and growth, and configuration flexibility in SiFides food&beverage was used to model company-specific workflows at set up.
