The deployment leveraged Ovation LIMS as a cloud based LIMS, using Ovation’s out of the box COVID workflows and a web portal for order accessioning. Functional capabilities implemented included centralized sample tracking, workflow orchestration for RT PCR processing, and web portal intake for clinician and patient orders, which supported rapid staff onboarding and standardized lab procedures. Operational coverage focused on high volume molecular diagnostic testing at GeneIQ’s Dallas laboratory, with processes organized around sub 48 hour turnaround for COVID tests. Governance and process changes emphasized protocol driven accessioning, role based task assignment inside the LIMS, and rapid training using the vendor supplied workflows to bring new technicians up to operational speed.
