In 2010 Generali Investments Germany implemented SunGard Asset Arena as a core Portfolio and Investment Management platform. The deployment targeted Asset Arena Investment Accounting GP3 and Asset Arena Compliance to support the firm’s investment accounting and compliance functions in its Cologne operations.
The implementation included configuration of the Asset Arena Investment Accounting GP3 module and the Asset Arena Compliance module, and a structured master data and fund positions migration effort. Implementation analysis phases were executed through workshops in German to align accounting rules, define data mapping, and configure compliance rule engines and accounting validation workflows within SunGard Asset Arena.
A central technical activity was the re-engineering of the StatPro interface to make it compatible with local requirements, adapting data feeds and reconciliation touchpoints between StatPro and SunGard Asset Arena. The project work encompassed detailed migration of master data and fund position records along with ledger configuration and compliance rule parameterization in SunGard Asset Arena.
The program ran from July 2010 to April 2011 and required close coordination between German and French teams, including on-site immersion to consolidate language and domain knowledge. Governance relied on workshop-driven requirements validation and centralized master data ownership to sustain investment accounting and compliance operations on SunGard Asset Arena.
