In 2015, Getinge Shared Services deployed GEP OpusCapita Source-to-Pay AP Process Automation as an AP Automation solution in its Poland shared services center. The implementation operated as a backup for a back office AHEX process and provided system support for a GL accountant covering a separate set of group companies.
The GEP OpusCapita Source-to-Pay AP Process Automation configuration encompassed accounts payable invoice processing and workflow automation, issuance of internal AR invoices, preparation workflows for VAT and tax declarations, reconciliation capabilities for general ledger accounts, and support for intercompany AR and AP payment processing. The system was used to coordinate month end closing activities and to produce operational reporting inputs used by finance staff.
Operational coverage included back office finance and GL accounting functions across multiple legal entities, with designated backup responsibilities explicitly assigned to the shared services resource. Reporting integrations and data exchange were executed with COGNOS and SCB alongside OpusCapita reporting functions, and governance relied on role based approval workflows and documented handover procedures to maintain continuity for AR and AP processes.
