Infor Legacy Infor SunSystems ERP Financial ERP n/a 2013 2014
In 2013 GlobalCapital plc implemented Infor SunSystems to provide core ERP Financial capabilities for its accounts, billing, and administration functions. The small internal IT organization, typically two to three software developers and architects, managed implementation and ongoing configuration alongside three primary insurance applications in production. Infor SunSystems was configured to host the company ledger and receive parsed billing and accounting data from operational systems, supporting financial reporting and transaction posting workflows. The Payments and Administration System fed transactional rows into Infor SunSystems, while the Life Insurance System integration delivered billing extracts and client-facing documentation that were reconciled and posted into the financial ledger. Integrations were a central feature of the deployment, Infor SunSystems was integrated with an in-house Health Insurance System framework that evolved with code generation tools, the Payments and Administration System, and external messaging channels for SMS and email notifications. An entity service bus was introduced and Enterprise Integration Patterns were adopted to orchestrate asynchronous flows, message translation, and reliable delivery between policy systems and the financial application. Operational governance concentrated on accounts and administration processes, with the IT team owning integration services, data transformation, and report generation. The service bus and standardized integration patterns established clear touchpoints for vendor-supplied systems and internal applications, enabling controlled submission of billing data into Infor SunSystems and consistent financial posting workflows.
