The implementation included MI reporting capabilities to run management information reports, identify trends and patterns, and inform changes to processes and guidance. The project involved close collaboration with the internal IT team on the introduction and implementation of the HRIS system, and operational coverage extended across individual care homes and head office, with collective and one to one staff consultations for changes to terms and conditions. The rollout emphasized standardisation of processes across sites to enable consistent configuration of Softworks HR Management and to support reorganisations and restructurings of care homes while keeping staff and management updated. Governance was structured around process standardisation, coaching and guidance for managers on HR policies and procedures, and formalised consultation workflows for restructures and contractual changes. Routine activities managed through the system included managing employee relations cases, following capability processes where required, conducting consultations, delivering training to home managers, and ensuring ongoing compliance with CQC, Home Office and other government legislation.
