In 2020, Grab implemented Oracle Cloud ERP to standardize finance and procurement operations within the ERP Financial category. The deployment centers on Oracle Fusion Cloud as the transactional ERP layer and uses Oracle EPM for close and reconciliation processes, aligning core finance and procurement capabilities under a cloud-first architecture.
Implementation scope focused on Procure to Pay, Records to Reconciliation and Source to Contract functional processes, with configuration across core finance modules such as general ledger and accounts payable, and procurement workflows. Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle EPM were configured to support period close orchestration and reconciliation automation, reflecting finance systems design patterns typical for ERP Financial platforms.
Operational coverage extended across Grab s Finance and Procurement organizations and was staffed by a centralized Grab Technology Solutions finance systems team leading 10 plus internal and external Oracle Fusion ERP specialists located in Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore. Governance responsibilities included budget and resource management, vendor relationship oversight, and tracking of KPIs and OKRs to align technology roadmaps with finance and procurement leadership.
Controls and compliance were embedded in the implementation, with explicit implementation of SOX compliance and audit controls for financial and planning systems, including formal change management and release management processes to satisfy internal and external audit requests. Oracle Cloud ERP is presented as the primary ERP Financial platform supporting Grab s finance and procurement transformation and ongoing operational governance.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Grab implemented Workday HCM to establish Core HR capabilities across its regional people operations. The Workday HCM deployment served as the primary system of record for employee data and was positioned to support HR, recruiting, absence management, and compensation workflows across multiple countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, China, the United States and India.
The implementation encompassed Workday Core HCM along with Absence, Advanced Compensation and Recruiting modules. Configuration work included business process design, security segmentation, custom reporting and extensive test coverage, with development of test procedures, scenarios and executable test scripts. The program also emphasized process enhancement and automation within Workday to streamline compensation planning and absence administration.
Operational and integration scope included ongoing integration and operational coordination with adjacent people systems such as eQuest, Enboarder, Myally and Culture Amp, with teams responsible for integration support and production change management. Regional People Solution Specialists provided functional leadership, requirement gathering and change impact analysis to align local HR processes with the centralized Workday configuration.
Governance was structured around formal change requests, production support workflows and a centralized Workday team responsible for module implementations, process configuration, integration oversight and operational support. The implementation narrative reflects centralized HR systems governance, regional rollout coordination and a sustained program of configuration, testing and operational handover for Workday HCM Core HR.

| Meta | Legacy | Faiss | AI Frameworks and Libraries | AI Development | n/a | 2024 | 2024 |
In 2024 Grab implemented Faiss as part of its data and machine learning stack, using AI Frameworks and Libraries tooling to power vector similarity search shortlisting. The work was regionally scoped with internal deployment in Southeast Asia and was documented in an engineering post published October 23, 2024. Faiss functioned as the shortlist index and retrieval layer to surface candidate vectors for downstream ranking.
Grab configured Faiss to produce compact shortlists that were then re ranked by an internal large language model, creating an LLM assisted retrieval pipeline described in the engineering write up. The implementation emphasized vector similarity search, index management and shortlisting capabilities, and integration with Grab's internal LLM re ranker and broader data and ML stack for complex, nuanced queries. The engineering post explicitly reported improved retrieval quality when Faiss shortlists were re ranked by the LLM.
