In 2018, Granite implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP as its ERP Financial application to govern core finance and operational workflows. The Microsoft Dynamics GP deployment was explicitly scoped to support Granite Telecommunications configuration lab operations, inventory staging and shipment processing while linking transactional finance functions to day to day order fulfillment.
The implementation leveraged Microsoft Dynamics GP modules aligned to ERP Financial needs, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory management, sales order processing and financial reporting. Dynamics GP was used directly in the configuration lab for staging telecommunications equipment and for coordinating internal teams to meet customer deadlines, supporting both operational transaction capture and ledger posting.
Integrations were implemented using SQL based data gathering and multiple API connections to aggregate operational data across platforms, with outputs fed into reporting tools including Domo and Microsoft Office based workflows. These integrations enabled consolidated reporting metrics and supported data collection from a variety of operational systems used by logistics, provisioning and customer delivery teams.
Governance and process changes accompanied the rollout, with Granite writing processes for IT to implement data gathering, developing reporting metrics for multiple teams, and documenting complex inventory and configuration procedures. Operational governance included training and supervision in the configuration lab, assignment of associates to priority customer projects, and ongoing inventory consultation to support department growth and standardized financial transaction flows within Microsoft Dynamics GP.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2016 | 2018 |
In 2016, Granite implemented Microsoft Power BI as its Analytics and BI platform. The initial deployment established a Microsoft Power BI Premium capacity and a centralized reporting environment to support business reporting, data analytics, and AI/ML use cases across the company.
Implementation focused on the Microsoft Power BI Premium feature set, including centralized workspaces, curated datasets, and governed report distribution. Functional capabilities explicitly managed by the team include BI reporting, KPI curation and monitoring for companywide goals and bonus payouts, and subscription-level daily and monthly reporting. The environment also supported machine learning model development workflows, with models for churn prediction, customer sentiment analysis, and cross-sell scoring integrated into analytics pipelines.
Operational coverage extended to executive and operational stakeholders, providing C-level subscription reporting and organizationwide KPI visibility. Granite Microsoft Power BI Analytics and BI supports business functions in reporting, sales enablement for cross-sell efforts, customer analytics for churn and sentiment, and finance through payout-related KPIs. The implementation scaled under the supervision of a dedicated BI organization responsible for onboarding and growth of the Power BI Premium environment.
Governance centered on dataset and workspace stewardship, standardized KPI definitions, and scheduled report subscriptions to establish data trust at the C-level. A BI management layer led a team of five to operationalize report delivery, monitor model outputs, and enforce reporting cadence and access controls. Microsoft Power BI was positioned as the primary Analytics and BI tool to unify reporting practices and govern analytics consumption across Granite.
