Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2021 2021
In 2021, Great Eastern Life Assurance Malaysia implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform, deploying the suite on-premise to support core finance, procurement and HR payroll adjacency. The deployment emphasized modular coverage with Oracle Financials OFIN, Procure-to-Payment P2P, and iHR components to centralize transactional finance and procure-to-pay workflows alongside HR information processing. Oracle E-Business Suite was configured to handle financial close, accounts payable and receivable flows, supplier invoicing and requisition to payment orchestration, and HR data management for regulatory reporting. Configuration work referenced standard Oracle E-Business Suite capabilities, with technical extensions and customizations implemented via PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Application Framework OAF and XML Publisher to meet insurer specific validation and reporting needs. The implementation operated on Unix and Linux based infrastructure, and coexisted with Oracle HCM Cloud for cloud-based human capital processes where integration points were established to synchronize HR master data and payroll relevant attributes. Operational model combined project delivery artifacts and BAU support, driven by application support teams accountable for issue resolution, technical impact assessments and system integration testing. Governance centered on regulatory and compliance requirements, with workflows for managing regulator and auditor requests, SIT test plans, source code documentation and technical impact assessments embedded into support and rollout practices. Internal responsibilities included guiding developers on specifications, validating conformance to design, and maintaining risk awareness for compliance related changes to the ERP Financial environment.

Oracle Cloud HCM was configured to centralize core HR processes and employee lifecycle management, with operational responsibilities covering HRIS configuration, security roles, data validation and system integration testing.
