Infor Legacy Infor SunSystems ERP Financial ERP n/a 2011 2012
In 2011, Grimme Butcher Jones Ltd implemented Infor SunSystems as its core ERP Financial accounting application. The deployment used Infor SunSystems V5.2.1 SP1 to centralize posting of office account transactions and to serve as the primary nominal ledger for supplier payments, staff expenses, PAYE/NIC, salaries, petty cash, bank and service charges, and inter account transfers. SunSystems was configured to handle supplier account setup, supplier invoice and credit note processing, and coding and posting of staff expenses in sterling and euro currencies. Parallel to SunSystems, the firm operated Global Policy Total Objects V6.5.3.9 as a specialist global insurance system to record International Bureau of Aviation client account activity such as premiums and claims, and to produce statement of accounts for underwriters. Integrations and operational coverage included using electronic settlement advice forms supplied by Lloyds of London and the International Underwriting Association of London to post client account transactions from the insurance market into the Total Objects ledger. The operational cadence required daily reconciliation of bank statements to ledger balances, with SunSystems reconciling sterling and US dollar balances daily, and Total Objects reconciling sterling, US dollar, Canadian dollar, Swiss franc and euro balances daily. Governance and workflow reconfiguration emphasized strict posting and reconciliation controls, with defined processes to set up new supplier accounts in SunSystems, to process and post supplier invoices and credit notes, and to analyse, code and post petty cash and staff expense transactions to the nominal ledger. Total Objects produced and issued statements of account by email to claims departments of GBJ underwriters for agreement, embedding a regulated handoff between accounting and claims functions. The implementation established a dual-system accounting landscape, combining Infor SunSystems for office accounting ledgers with Total Objects for insurance client accounts, and formalized daily bank reconciliation and electronic settlement advice as key control points across accounting, treasury and claims workflows.

IONOS Legacy IONOS Cloud Application Hosting and Computing Services IaaS n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, Grimme Butcher Jones Ltd deployed IONOS Cloud as its Application Hosting and Computing Services to host and operate the company website at https://www.gbj-ltd.com/. The implementation is centered on IONOS Cloud as the primary web infrastructure provider for the insurer, aligning the Application Hosting and Computing Services category with the firm’s public-facing site and web asset delivery. Configuration and operational scope focus on standard cloud hosting capabilities within IONOS Cloud, including provisioned compute instances for web processes, object or block storage for site assets, and DNS and TLS certificate management for the corporate domain. The implementation narrative emphasizes typical application hosting modules and infrastructure automation available in IONOS Cloud, applied proportionately to a 30-person insurance firm’s website needs. Operational governance is consolidated through the IONOS Cloud control plane, where site provisioning, DNS updates, and resource administration are managed centrally for the United Kingdom web presence. This configuration positions Grimme Butcher Jones Ltd to maintain its web infrastructure under a single hosting and computing provider, with administration and change control scoped to web and public content operations.
